I am so ready for the weekend. It’s finally a weekend where there isn’t a holiday or a birthday party. It’s the first such weekend in April.
Don’t get me wrong — I love my family, and I love celebrating birthdays and that, but to not have the weekend to myself to do whatever I want to do really stresses me out.
And there’s always the grocery shopping that needs to get done, the laundry, the errands, art classes, yoga classes, making meals, making the beds, etc…
I wish that I could go back to the days where it was okay to not make my bed. Ever. I also used to not mind the pile of dirty laundry on my closet floor. Or the fact that the sink was full of dirty dishes. I used to be able to spend the entire day reading a book and never notice all of the other things that should be done around the house.
